Resetting M4 MacBook Air back to factory settings?

I’m selling my MacBook Air so I need to reset it back to its original state. I’ve read previously that there was a problem once it had reset whereby you can’t get a WiFi signal to “authorise” it again? Would this still be the case or has the issue been solved?

This is my only machine and I don’t have access to another so it’s vital I get it reset correctly. Or is there an alternative method?

I’m running 26.5.1 Tahoe if that makes a difference?

It’s one simple command. From the Apple menu  in the corner of your screen, choose System Preferences. From the System Preferences menu in the menu bar, choose Erase All Content and Settings.

No issues at all. That’s the way Apple designed it to work. It’s easy. The system will be pristine. Your data is effectively wiped and becomes unrecoverable.
