hey there i need help with my macbook its from 2008 and i want to reset it, is a disc involved? or maybe i could do it without a disc?. thanks

Depends on who you get on the phone. I called and they sent me the disks for free.

You can also likely buy a 10.6.3/10.6.8 installation DVD.
i did call but they only sent a mac snow leopard installation, thats what i didn't need, but i will try again.

If it's a late 2008 Macbook unibody then download Yosemite from Mac App Store, set up a flash drive or external drive to a bootable install disk. Then erase the drive and reinstall. See here for instructions. Though I'm sure you've done something about this already given this was two weeks ago.
