Capcom's Resident Evil 2 remake will launch on Apple devices on December 10, making it the fourth Resident Evil title to arrive on Apple's mobile platforms.

The game will be available as a free download with a trial version, after which players can purchase the full game. While pricing hasn't been officially announced, it's likely to cost between $19.99 and $59.99, based on other Resident Evil titles on the App Store.
A deadly virus engulfs the residents of Raccoon City in September of 1998, plunging the city into chaos as flesh eating zombies roam the streets for survivors. An unparalleled adrenaline rush, gripping storyline, and unimaginable horrors await you. Witness the return of Resident Evil 2.
Resident Evil 2 requires an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 16 series model to run, along with iPads and Macs equipped with M1 chips or later. The game will support cross-progression across supported Apple devices, so players can continue their progress whether playing on iPhone, iPad, or Mac. Capcom says it will be a universal purchase, meaning a single purchase grants access across all compatible Apple devices.

Interested readers can pre-register for Resident Evil 2 on the App Store starting today, just note that the iPhone app will require 22.1GB of storage when it drops on December 10. [Direct Link]

Brilliant game, so is the remake of Resident Evil 3 that is done in a similar way.
Would recommend to play it on a device with a larger screen such as the iPad or Macbook, the bigger the better. And use a decent controller for an even better experience.

Glad this gem makes it to the Apple devices :)

Between this coming out soon, and Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Village already available on Mac/iOS, we've finally got all the best Resident Evil games playable on Apple devices.

I imagine the rest of the series will get ported eventually, which, uh... I guess that's good... 😬 (Resident Evil Biohazard has been out forever... I like to forget that it exists...)

Can someone share a complete list containing the existing games exclusively released for A17 Pro & A18 Pro?

I've been gaming for neigh on 42 years now (since I was 2) and I am starting to get sick of all the remakes. Lazy ass video game developers. Half of the "new" games are just reskinned old games. We have the CPU and GPU power to do almost anything anymore, yet they keep making the same 20 games over and over again.

Those games are safe.

It is why when a small dev makes a popular new game mechanic you "suddenly" see a bunch of knockoffs from big devs (looking at you hero/extraction looter shooters).

I can't wait! All Capcom ports are amazing on iPad/Mac. Only game left is RE3 Remake.

Plus RE2 remake supports universal purchase!! Buy once. Play on iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Again, everybody forgets about RE5 which is actually my favorite from the series.

Still waiting on the KoTOR and KoTOR2 remasters (let alone the remakes).

I tried RE Villiage on my M4 iPad Pro and was disappointed by how unimpressive the visuals were. Ray tracing is meaningless if you are not running at native resolution
The fact that it runs at all on a tablet is impressive enough, given the hardware.

Obviously turning everything up to max and running at native resolution requires an M3/M4 Pro or Max MacBook
