I am very impressed. My M1 Max 16" handles this game at 2560x1600 with mostly 80 to 100fps at max settings. Great graphics, smooth gameplay. Power draw is between 40 and 80 watts. Looking forward to play it through. Will post a screen cap later.

Edit: Here are the videos including Metal Performance HUD. Captured using the built-in screen recording utility.
Internal Screen with no VSync at 2560x1600:

External Screen with VSync (=75fps limit) at 2560 x 1440:

Any news on an Intel version? By all accounts the 5700 XT is more powerful than a base M1 so hopefully they're working on it...

I thought MBP 14" and 16" have 120Hz display? I see vsync locking fps to 60fps with built-in display on several videos so that means 60Hz. If you disable vertical sync and set frame rate to variable then fps should exceed 60fps unless gpu/cpu bound.

Do you think it’s playable on the M2 Air?
Yes, and very well so it seems.

It's Apple Silicon exclusive because it's heavily optimized for this platform. That's why it runs so well across all M1 and M2 Macs.

I seen a video of someone running it on an m1 air at 1080p and was running great as well! Awesome to see its living up to the performance hype they were promising

This is a reference to compare with PC.

I thought people said ray tracing wasn’t going to be possible on the M chips but it seems like it is which is neat.

The problem is that Apple Silicon chip does not have RT cores but it's easy to add anyway. Cant say it's impossible but ray tracing is only for gaming so not sure if Apple adds RT cores or not.

@sunny5 So my M1 Max experience roughly matches an RTX3060 but at the fraction of the power draw. Not too shabby, I'd say.

It's not though because you didn't match the graphics settings using native resolution without upscaling. You used 'quality' upscaling which gives about 25% boost in fps for lower image quality (softer and less detail). Without upscaling you'd probably get ~74fps putting baby in crib scene compared to mobile 3060 that does 98fps at native resolution. M1 Ultra 64GPU would be closer to mobile 3060.

M1 Max's performance at full setup is already RTX 3060 desktop version. I have no idea what you are talking about. M1 Ultra = RTX 3060? Are you kidding?

Mobile 3060 at same native resolution and graphics settings is faster than M1 Ultra 48GPU so closer to 64GPU. For GPU compute workloads such as Blender it's ~2x faster. Mobile RTX3000 is old news anyway with even faster mobile RTX4000 coming out soon.

Blender BMW (lower time is better)

LOL, you are comparing with UNSUPPORTED game and not even optimized for Apple Silicon. What kind of comparison is that? Epic fail.
