Hi Guys,

Ive been asked to do a A4 6pp Folded to DL size with supplied art work and get it ready for print.

the leaflet needs to be 297mm x 210mm (A4) finish size is w99mm x h210mm (DL)

Ive been sent a .pub file of the final design and 2 eps files (front and back)

So basically I need to resize it and add bleed.

So am I right in thinking I can just save the publisher file as a pdf and then remake in illustrator?

the reason I'm asking is that I have never used publisher before.

thanks

I agree with you, rebuilding the ad is the way to go. I usually place the PDF in Illustrator (just for placement) and then rebuild everything and when I'm finished, I usually place the Illustrator file in a Quark Xpress or Indesign page for final printing.

I have had to deal with numerous people who can not seem to get it through their thick skulls that Microsoft Publisher is not a professional layout application. It is for home use, to print out lost dog flyers and birthday invitations not professional brochures and what not. Still there are so many people that use it.
