resolution new macbook pro ?

Anyone know what the screen resolution will be for the new macbook pro ? Any rumors of 4k screen ?

I'm expecting the same as we currently have. They will have the p3 colour gamut and anti reflectively properties found on the 9.7 inch iPad Pro though so they should be some of the best screens around.

Hopefully it will stick at standard retina resolutions. 4K will just eat the battery and most of the power of the new GPUs for very minor benefit.

The things Samuelsan2001 suggested would be a better trade off then unnecessarily doubling the already excellent resolution on a 13-16" screen.

i hope it stays the same and not 4k. if i need 4k i can buy a larger 4k monitor.

There is very little gain in going higher resolution-wide with the current hardware. I am very hopeful that we will get wide-gamut display as Samuelsan mentioned. Sierra is built for wide-gamut, so I am sure that this is coming.
