I recently bought an LG 4k Ergo external monitor that I use as my main screen (with the mac closed).
When I use the monitor with a Windows laptop, I can select full 4k resolution and maximize the screen to 150% and I get full sharpness and the perfect amount of working space.
However, when I connect the monitor to the MacBook air M2, the resolution at full 4K makes all the apps to look tiny and obliges me to switch to the next lower resolution (2560x1440), which is fine, but is not as sharp as the result with the windows laptop.
In my LG monitor I have the possibility to select with 1920x1080 in HiDPI and get the "retina type" sharpness. However, the refresh rate lowers to 25HZ and the work space in my monitor turns the same as my macbook screen (which does not justify the external monitor).
Thus, how can I get the same results that I get with my windows laptop, but with my Mac?
Cheers,
Gonzalo
