RESOLVED: 2018 Ipad Pro not charging after update?

HI all,

I've had my IPP since 2019 and haven't had any issues charging it until I updated to 16.2 last week.

I've tried
- hard reset
- trying multiple outlets, multiple cables (yes all my cables and bricks work - tested them on my MBP and kindle which charge as soon as I plug them in)
- looked for an update to no avail
- restarted multiple times
- powered off for a period of time and restarted - no luck

anybody have any other ideas besides backup, erase and restore?

well, between shutting down my iPad for about 5 hours and restarting it, and vacuuming the port charging worked when powered back on

Thank you 🙏 simple and obvious but overlooked - I had inspected to tick the box, but not vacuumed.
