Simple task. I uploaded an audio file of a meeting to iCloud Drive (part of my trial in using an iPhone as my primary driver). On the Files app on my iPhone, the audio file is there, but when I tap on it, nothing. I cannot preview nor play it. So... how is this useful? How does this work? Microsoft OneDrive has a built-in viewer. But iCloud/Files app don't? How do I view that file on my phone then? Am I missing something here?

MP3 and M4A.
That should be playable from files. some files like flac aren't supported. But that should work.
screenshot from iPad but same should apply to the phone

that was from an MP3 file. What do you see when you try?

Alright I figured it out.

The MP3 files apparently are not "MP3," but AAC. The software was misconfigured and it saved them with the MP3 extension. I changed it to .M4A and Files now showed the Play button like what you showed.

Thanks for helping out. :)
