Other than the announcement that Siri would be available to 3rd party developers, Apple hasn't said anything else about it. Which is troubling.

How will this affect Siri's capabilities? I figured you guys would know more than anything.

    (1) Which apps will be the first to take advantage of Siri right out of the gate?

    (2) How is 3rd party availability going to help Siri in the big picture?

    (3) Will Siri, now being 3rd party still have to abide by Apple's typical restrictions?

    (4) With AVA having just arrived, is Apple's act of making Siri open source considered the theoretical waving of the white flag?

    (5) Will 3rd party Siri come with different privacy implications?

    (6) What apps do you want to take advantage of 3rd party Siri? What do you want 3rd party Siri to do? And what apps are already confirmed to be taking advantage of 3rd party Siri?

This is exciting for me because now Siri integration can be limitless. For example, I want Siri to have access to Google Play Music just like it would Apple Music/iTunes. That's what I want right out of the gate.

3rd party music apps won't have access to Siri right out the gate. Perhaps some day, but not when iOS 10 is released. Here are the categories that are supported:

They've (allegedly) said plenty. I haven't watched this session yet, but you're welcome to watch and find out for yourself.

Siri can only do ride booking, messaging, photo search, payments, VoIP calls and workouts. Sadly you still can't say, order a pizza, email a Pages document, control Spotify, translate voice, search YouTube or iCloud Drive, etc... :(
