After a clean install of OS X 10.9 and installing scmfancontrol, the default setting gets set to 3000rpm and cannot be adjusted down to what I assume is the real default, 2000rpm (what was set under ML).
Any ideas? I have heard you can edit the plist file, but haven't tried that yet.

This issue was resolved with a PRAM and SMC reset. Now the default exhaust fan speed is 1800 in smcfancontrol. 😀
