Resource monitor: Which one is the best?

hey guys, i've been using iStat and it seems decent, but it's not free and the text is barely legible for me. what are the other alternatives people use?

iStat Pro and MenuMeters is free, and of course Activity Monitor.

Or you could try to find version 2 of iStat Menus to download.

iStat was really good, but it just expired today. is there anything that can display it at the top part of the screen?

It would help to know what your are hoping to accomplish with this tool. If you are a developer, there are tools which come with Xcode that let you monitor activity.

It lives on the dashboard, so maybe that won't work for you, but I find that hitting F12 when I need to see it isn't that much of a problem. I'm not using it constantly, though. Your usage may differ.

ok i'm using this now. the text is really small. is there any way i can increase the size?
