Is apple still charging for restocking fee?
Both in the UK and US?
Anyone know?

thanks all..... but no one has concrete proof about this restocking fee? especially in the UK? i have found a couple of news link saying apple will stop it and i have definitely heard it on the news but no proof.

Swapped mine today in store for a new sealed 3G model. Although they have none in stock to the public they have a few for replacing faulty units and if you're lucky for swapping units whe people have changed their minds.
I paid no restocking fee just the £20 difference between the 32gb wifi and 16gb 3G.

Thanks. I actually managed to get my black one exchanged as the expert accepted the scratches on the back and agreed to replace it. I then kindly told him if it was possible to have the white one as it's the one I really wanted. He checked for me and came back out with their last sealed white one so I am very happy.
There's light bleed on the top left side when in full brightness but it's ok as I am always on about 35-40% brightness anyway so I'll never see it.
