Restore 3GS backup to 4S?

When I connect my 4S to iTunes, can I simply click "restore from backup" and use my 3GS backup to restore everything to my new phone?

Wondering the same thing, yes with iOS 5 installed.

It will take the mirror of the old phone and transfer it.

Can't get iOS5 to install, which is why I can't transfer everything via iCloud.

As long as you have a backup on the computer that is all you need when you connect the 4S.

4s activation

Excuse my ignorance, but how will I transition from my 3gs to my new 4S? I have 2 phones on my itunes account. When I did this last time from the 3g to the 3gs I think I switched out the sim card. When I hook it to itunes will it give obvious options to follow to do this?...
