I just got my unlock code for my iPhone 5 I am on 6.1.2 jailbreak . It requires me to backup reset my phone and then restore backup. Is it still possible to restore to 6.1.2 on a backup? If not is there a way to bypass the reset to unlock my iPhone ?

You can't re-restore on an IP5.

However you can use SAM from Cydia to de-activate the phone after which it wil re-activate when you connect to itunes and the unlock will attach.

You don't need to restore or even deactivate.
Just stick in an unsupported sim and it will bring you to the activation screen again and your phone will be unlocked.
