Restore as New, then Restore from backup?

Hey Everybody,

Question for you all before I go try it myself.

For reasons beyond my control I need to restore my iPhone as a new phone (The reason is because I paid my carrier to unlock my iPhone 4 and they said for it to take affect I need to restore it as a new phone).

My question is, can I restore my iPhone 4 as a new phone and then afterwards restore it from the backup (I'll do one just before I restore it) and get all my data and saved games back?

I think this will work, but I want to make 100% before I try it. Has anybody tried this themselves?

Never mind.

I tried it and it worked. No problems. I figured as much, just figured I'd check with others since I've never done it myself.
