Hi,

I have an iphone 6 with Apple Watch. Now I just got a iphone 7.

What is the best way to transfer AW data and Health/activity apps?

I think I have to :

1- Disconnect AW from iphone so data is tranfered to iphone 6
2- make an icloud backup
3- restore backup on new iphone
4- connect AW to new iphone

Am I right ?

And if I want to start from scratch my new iphone withtout using an old backup, am I screwed ?

thanks

I Personally never use restore from Backup as option. I will set up my iPhone as a new device. That way it avoids transferring over any issues or glitches.

Yes but I don't want to lose all my Apple watch data and all the information in Activity and health apps

That’s the only way to transfer health info.

So I need to restore backup. I can't start from scratch and just restore activty/health ?
You could choose to only backup health info in settings.
