Restore backup post 3GS 3.1 jailbreak..

I created a backup pre 3.1 JB, went through the JB process, but now if I do a restore from that backup, won't that render the 3.1 JB invalid?? should I just setup as a new phone??

It should work fine if you restore from a backup, it won't affect the actual jailbreak itself. But it is usually optimal to set it up as a new phone to avoid any possible problems. 🙂

Thanks for the quick response, I didn't want to risk it so did indeed choose "setup as new phone"...

If I could have JB without having to downgrade and everything else I would have given it a try..

It's best that way. I always set it up as a new phone. I don't care about my SMS that I will never reread and a I don't have that much precious app data. 🙂
