A friend of mine recently purchased a MacBook Pro off of craigslist, it didn't include restrore DVDs or a Leopord DVD. Question is, can he buy MacBook Pro Restore DVDs off of ebay and they will work? I am guessing the the MacBook Pro originally came with Tiger, will Leopard restore DVDs work.

Thanks.

First off you shouldn't just buy Restore DVDs; that's against the TOS.

Now you can't buy Leopard Restore DVDs either because Restore DVDs are tagged to specific motherboards.

Or you could call Apple and ask for the Tiger DVDs free of charge... You will need to buy the Leopard upgrade.
