Ok I have my pictures backed up through iCloud, can I setup my iPhone as new and just sign in to my iCloud to get my pictures/videos back?

Any clue how you add contacts and pics from move to ios? Use the android app but where do you go on the iPhone?

Does the app not have instructions built in? I've only read the app description on Google Play and it seemed pretty clear...

Usually, I've always restored from a backup. However, my 6 Plus has a one or two issues after I updated it to iOS 9. Therefore I may just set my 6S Plus up as new so none of the issues are carried over to it.

When y'all say from "backup" is this by syncing through iTunes or what exactly? If I just plug it into my computer won't itunes open and guide me through either option? Sorry it's been a while since I got a new phone...

Also, what happens with your current phone when you activate the old one? Do you de-activate it as part of the process?

I have had every iPhone since 3G and have always gone with a clean install however this year going from my 6 to 6s I will be restoring from my backup because I have the Apple Watch now and don't want to lose all of my health & activity stuff, so we shall see...

I have over 300 apps, but this time I am thinking about setting the phone up as new. I'll do a very good pruning. It's going to be quite a bit of work, and perhaps some content might be lost (if it was stored in the phone instead of the cloud). However, I think the most important things are in the cloud.

Currently restoring from iCloud and it's taking forever...

20,000+ photos
1,500+ videos
5gb of Whatsapp data backed up on iCloud

I've long since given up restoring from iCloud. I will back up to the computer (encrypted) and restore from there. I'm seriously thinking of starting fresh with this one. There has just been enough glitches going through 6 to 7 to 8 to 9 that I am not sure I want to restore it.

I actually think it may be fun starting anew.
