I bought an older iMac (2008? maybe newer) from some friends and they did not leave the operation system on it (making sure everything was erased I guess).

I have no cd to restore with, I can't find the year of the iMac at this point, and when I go to network my wi fi network does not seem to have a place to show up.

A couple of screenshots attached.

Is there a menu bar at the top of the screen? There should be a Wi-Fi icon to the right.

Well, that was easy. It was hiding, kinda grayed out, in the very far right corner. Downloading the OSX now.

Thanks!
