Restore iphone 3G

Hi I have a jailbreak iPhone 3G with iOS 4.1 , and I was wondering how do I restore it? Is it safe to restore it from itunes, and then jailbreak it again.

Plug it into iTunes and press restore.

As long as the version of iOS that you restore to is able to be jaikbroken, you should have no trouble!

It also says there's an update 4.2, should I update it?

Hope you dont have the ipad baseband installed in order to unlock....

Are you relying on an unlock to use any simcard?

i get an error
"The iphone "iphone" could not be restored. An unknown error ocurred (1015)"
