I currently have Snow Leopard installed on my macbook. I've been trying to move to a new hard drive but my SL disc ALWAYS fails when restoring my backup on the new hard drive. So i just found my Leopard install disc and want to try that to restore my computer onto the new hard drive.
Do you think that i should install leopard first, then backup, then restore the Leopard backup with the Leopard disc
or
Everything should work fine if I just restore my SL backup with the Leopard disc?

sidenote: i can't slide my hard drive out from my macbook because the rubber sides fell off, requiring me to take off the keyboard every time i want to switch the hard drives. huge pain in the butt. i think i only have the mental sanity to switch hard drives one more time so i want to get it right
