So, now I have had a play around with the new M1 mini (coming from Windows 11) I have settled on what I want to use as my core apps for music production. This mini will be kept away from the internet apart from updates and even then I'll try and do those via USB first. (I am keeping the old Intel NUC for gaming and internet.)

Should I fully re-install the OS and start from there, as I have been doing some internet searching, app trialling, posting etc etc and I'm sure that even in that space of time a lot of junk has accumulated.

Or is simply deleting everything I don't want sufficient? Bearing in mind I have no clue where a lot of this stuff (under the hood so to speak) is stored on a MAC.

Thanks

If all you have been doing is internet browsing and Apple App Store installs, I see no need to reinstall the OS. I think it would be a waste of time.

No a lot more than that - and no App Store installs at all - all 3rd party software. There has been quite a bit. I only finally decided on the setup this afternoon 🙂
