hey,

I have a jailbroken 4s, running os 5.1. I have a visit to the apple store tomorrow and would like to 'unjailbreak' it. i have backed it up already....

... trouble is, i understand that i need to now Restore it. I am only given the option to "Restore and Update" it --installing ios6-- which i would really rather avoid for the time being!

is there a way to restore my iphone to ios 5.1? or can i revert to it's current state after my apple store visit by restoring to the backup i just made?

thanks,

r.

Are you sure your 4S is on 5.1, there is no jailbreak for 5.1 for 4S
I will assume you meant either 5.0.1 or 5.1.1

If your 4S has factory fresh 5.x.x firmware and was never updated to it's recent firmware via iTunes or your hash files were saved prior to any iTunes update, you do not qualify for the re-restore.
