Hi, I recently backed up my data with Time Machine and erased everything in order to install windows. Now I'm simply trying to restore the data saved on the hard drive to my hard disk.

When I do this it goes '' Preparing copy to OS X ''
It works fine until it 105.168 items (I have about 180.000) where it just stops.

When I first attempted it, it worked fine past the copying process where it restores your items. Until midway where a friend unplugged the hard drive - ever since it hasn't worked.

Does anyone have a solution? Any help is appreciated.

On my Late 2006' MacBook Pro.

You could try a fresh install of the OS and use Migration Assistant to see if that gets you past the error

I'm gonna try re-installing the OS and do it the '' normal '' way - then I'll try yours. Thanks.
