Forgive me if this is a stupid question, But i've never had to do it before as I always restore my device as new.

Is the restore backup feature in itunes similar to a restore point (like in windows) or will it completely wipe the OS then restore the backup? Basically, I'm looking to restore to the earliest backup I have of being Jailbroken in hopes that it will help with my gridlock problem.

Again, sorry for the stupid question.

Whats happening with Gridlock 2.0 ?

I ask as you may not need to restore.

No matter what, When it is installed I am stuck in safe mode. I've taken the time to delete everything from cydia besides the files that come with it when you jailbreak. I can't figure out what is causing it.

Correct, a itunes local backup only saves your app aettings, pics, music, txt, etc

An earlier backup might do the trick, you can also delete the plist or settings files which remain after an uninstall

First try this go to settings/general/info/reset
    Reset homescreen layout

If that does not work you can try this:

    They are in private/var/mobile/library/preferences

    Find the one for gridlock

    Thanks, I'll give that a shot :)

I've tried both icleaner and icleaner pro. I've also ran the 'apt-get autoremove' command in mobile terminal.

Well Hell. For whatever reason my laptop only has a backup from this morning. Looks like all the others have been deleted. Just wish I could figure out this problem. It's bugging the hell out of me. lol.
