restoring from icloud -what's the order?

I'm currently restoring my phone from an icloud backup and am just wondering what order are things restored in? such as contacts, pictures, apps, then music, etc....

Is there a method to the madness?

For me they all kind of go at once, taking turns here and there.

Mine (iPhone6, 128gb) has been restoring for about 1.5 hours so far... all the apps look loaded up. Not sure what else is taking so long

I usually restore from iCloud, but now that my backups are so large, I'm just going to restore from itunes.

My iCloud restore is taking forever, It's 1pm and I started the restore at 9:30am. My contacts and most of my pictures have loaded, but only a few apps have. My iCloud backup was only about 2gb, I barely had anything on my phone before.

Crap. I'm trying to do my backup now on my iPhone and forgot that everyone and their moms is doing iCloud today!

Yeah, this is my first restore from iCloud experience...and I'm not pleased with it.

Phone's great though!

I wish there was a "turn everything on" switch, the list of things getting synced through iCloud keeps growing and turning them all on/off individually is becoming a PITA. Yeah yeah, I know, first world problem and all that, whatever.

My restore from icloud keeps failing. I think I am going to set up as a new phone for the afternoon and try the icloud restore again overnight when hopefully the servers aren't as slammed. Anyone else having the restore fail or just taking a really long time ?

Just use iTunes.

I did that once, when I first bought and ipad. It sucked. You lose all saved data.

This is the reason I like having both an iCloud backup and an iTunes backup. That way if the iCloud servers are getting hit too hard I have a backup-backup to restore from.

My iCloud backup has been taking awhile and stopped all together at one point. I turned my phone off, back on, and restarted the process. Seems to be working smoother now.

This is because EVERYONE is doing it at once. Just go thru and tap each of your icons that did not download yet one time. They will start downloading again soon.

Your games saves are more important than having a clean and smoothly running phone?

Restoring from an old OS is always a bad idea.
