My trouble started when i found that all my bookmarks in Safari on my iPhone were gone for an unknown reason. So I figured I could recover those by doing a restore from a backup 2 weeks ago that's on my Mac. The restore started and said the iPhone will be erased and restored.
The restore completed. The home screen on the iPhone showed several apps grayed out and said "Waiting" and stayed that way a long time. I had to tap on apps and then they said "Loading." Pages was one of the apps.
When Pages loading completed, all the files that had been in it were gone. That's not a good way for RESTORE to work.
I had kept all kinds of files in the Pages folder because that's how I can access them with Finder when I connect iPhone and Mac.
Is there a way to recover the lost files? Maybe in the backup that's on the Mac? It's in a directory
Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/
but not human readable.
The iPhone has version 18.7.2
Mac 15.7.9
