Restoring iPhone to get it unlocked help

I'm ready to unlock my iPhone 6. According to gh directions from AT&T I'm to retore through iTunes. Haven't used iTunes in years.

After I restore and get unlock notification from iTunes how do I get my info back that was previously on my iPhone?

You can either restore via iCloud or an iTunes backup you copied to your computer.

Can I restore wirelessly for an unlock?

There isn't such a thing as wireless restore. You have to do it with iTunes.

you actually don't need to do a restore. once at&t says your phone is added to the unlocked list, it is already unlocked. did this with my 5 and now with my 6 also. just pop another carrier sim into your phone if you want to give it a try

Like said above no need to restore.
Phone is unlocked. You can stick another sim in and test it.
