I was trying to jailbreak my iPod 2g but kept getting error 1604, so i looked up on how to fix it. Someone said they got it to work after trying it a lot of times, so I restored back to original then tried to jailbreak and restored and tried to jailbreak a few times. Will this mess my iPod up? I stopped because it just doesn't work. and, Does the red sn0w patch I had to apply a few times mess my iPod up to? and will putting it into restore and dfu mode a lot mess it up?

no, i don't think there's such thing as 'restoring too much' lol

error 1604 USUALLY means that you have to restart your comp and/or your device

when that happened to me (with no jailbreak), the restart of my comp worked fine
