I replaced a 2007 MacBook with a MacBook Pro. Using migration assistant I transferred the iTunes library to the new computer and then deleted the library from the old MacBook (which I regret). I wish to use the old MacBook as a music server only. What is the easiest way to restore the music library back to the old MacBook?

Copy your entire music folder back to your macbook, then launch iTunes while holding down the option key. This will allow you to select your library file.

How do I copy the files back to the old MacBook? There is no migration assistant on the old MacBook.

If both computers are on the same network then you should be able to access the other computer from Finder providing you have file sharing turned on in settings.
