Restoring MBP to factory settings

I misplaced the discs that came with my 2010 13' MBP. Could I use a 15' MBP disc to restore my computer?

If these discs are newer or the same age as the discs that came with the other computer, I'm pretty sure it will work just fine.

No. the disc are model specific

Hmm, I think the discs are "line-dpecific" not model specific. As in, laptop discs are the same, iMac discs are the same, etc. It's just that if a new model has a new chip set (for example) older discs won't support it. I think they're still backward-compatible amogn the same 'type' of computer.

I could be wrong though.
