Im posting because my iphone 5 has been stolen. i didnt have icloud configured with my notes neither the photo album.

But i do have the BACKUP of all the iphone 5 with ios 7 in itunes.
i have a ipod touch 4th gen with ios 6 on it and i really need to recover especially my notes and photos from my ITUNES BACKUP of the stolen iphone 5 with that data. I cannot restore via itunes because iTunes displays the alert "The backup [name] cannot be restored to this [iOS device] because the software on the [iOS device] is too old."

So i hope theres i way to enter that data or restoring that into my ipod ios6 and then using iphoto and reading the notes in the ipod is enough..

Appreciate the help on resolving this...

This article from Apple has instructions on how to restore an iOS backup on a device that is not using the latest version of iOS. However, since you're using an iPod touch 4th generation, you won't be able to update to iOS 7. You'll need to look into software that will allow you to extract data from an iTunes backup, such as iBackup Extractor or iBackup Viewer.
