restricted network after jail breaking

Hi All,

I have a 1st gen iphone 2g. I just jail broke the iphone using pwnage tool and jail broke the phone using 3.1.3. The process went fine, and it booted up with the pineapple logo but i still get no service and says my network is restricted. i thought jail breaking ur phone unrestricts the network? im in london and my sim card is on o2 network whom i have a contract with. THis is just a loan phone as my 3g was sold as i will be getting the 4g in 2 weeks. Any other way to unlock the phone so i can hop on to my o2 network?

You said jailbreak and unlock in your post. JB and unlock is two different thing. You should google what's the different between jb and unlock.

Install Bootneuter from cydia to unlock the 2G.
