As the title says, will the apple store carry this upgrade or can it only be done online.

    Thanks

They'll carry many common configurations in store, just like they do now with current models.

    Call and ask.

I'm kind of hoping they will but since its soldered onto the logic board they may only offer this online.

I did hear in TWIT's coverage of todays announcement that the ram is soldered onto the logic board, if thats the case then it may only be available online.

I opened a chat session with the online store and they said that you cannot get 16GB of RAM in store right now. They said they have no idea if it will be available in retail stores in the near future.

Basically if we want the 16GB we have to wait the 3-4 weeks for the online orders.
