Retina display mbp

Why is it that the Retina display mbp's you cant do no upgrades to it? Reminds me of the power pc mini or my emac.
 
i think the only thing you could upgrade on it would be the hard drive as and when manufacturers start shipping ssds which fit the retina. I guess owc offers some.
On the ram front i guess 16gb is good enough for now and maybe a year or two more. But i guess removable memory would have been better.
 
You can't do no upgrades to the rMBP because Apple can't not do magic in that small of a factor of form.
