I did a fresh new reinstall of Mac OS given when I got my Retina iMac it had 10.10.2 and not 10.10.3 well there was 3 or 4 updates I believe in the App Store for me to download however I have a question, after the 3 or 4 updates were installed the computer restarted and when it to the App Store window it said it was unable to connect to the store. Could this mean the updates didn't install successfully? in the App Store it says the updates "Installed" but given that the App Store wasn't able to connect after the restart of the install I was a bit curious if anyone here would know for sure that all is well and fine.

You're fine. Sometimes the App Store can be a bit funny. It certainly won't have affected the installation. If it says installed, it's installed.

Thank you for the confirmation. Also I wanted to bring up that there was an update mentioned here in this thread https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1868822/ its this update here to be exact https://support.apple.com/kb/DL1807?locale=en_US

I installed this update after the fresh reinstall of OS 10.10.3 and the other 4 updates I originally mentioned. Could you tell me if the update mentioned above is something will be added to the current 10.10.3 or if whenever doing a fresh reinstall that the update mentioned above will have to be downloaded everytime or does Apple add it in with future software updates?

It'll get added in when 10.10.4 is out. Not sure why you're worrying. It was 1.8MB. :)

Ah Thanks for the info. Do you know around when 10.10.4 comes out? when I check for software update will it alert me for the 10.10.4 download?

It'll come out when it's ready. It will let you know if you have the option turned on in System Preferences / App Store.
