Retina in the future

I was wondering what everyone here sees as the future of the Retina. Now that we have it out there, are we stuck with the incremental upgrades? Or do you see something coming down the pike that will make the rMBP something even better?

With more experience in manufacturing extremely high resolution laptop screens it's inevitable that there will be huge improvements in the future.

Especially with the advances in graphics technology (both integrated and discrete).

The only improvement I would like to see would be the return of the LED sleep indicator :3

But Retina is a big selling point.

It sells iPads, it sells iPhones, and it'll likely push a lot of Pros because it is that beautiful.

Why would they phase it out?

"Retina" doesn't indicate a technology, rather a so-presented peculiarity of a screen.
