iPad Retina iPad Wallpapers Thread

I'm looking at my MBP hooked up to my Samsung 24" at 1920x1200. The iPad 3 will be 9.7" at 2048x1536. I can't comprehend it but when I have mine in my hands, my mind will be sufficiently blown. As Bart Scott once said "CANT WAIT!"

It is pretty crazy how much I have to scroll on my macbookair. I consider this display pretty high res, and the fact that it is 13 inches vs 10 for the ipad, means that the retina display will be mind boggling.

Same here. Only like 1/2 of the full image fits on my screen.

Exactly.

Which I am sure is the reason Apple is not going to put the highest reolution screen of any of their devices on one of their lowest price products. Not this year, not next year.

They've done the same thing on iPhone years ago already. They can and they will do it on iPad next month.

Wallbase has a lot of nice wallpapers and you can search for exact resolution. There seems to be some with resolution of 2560x2048 and as of right now, two with exact resolution of 2048x2048.

So it's come to my attention that all of our iPad wallpapers at 1024x1024 are going to be obsolete when the new iPad 3 comes out. I thought that we could all prepare by building up a collection of 2048x2048 wallpaper here. That way we will great wallpapers on day 1. Feel free to post some wallpapers or make requests below.

Here you can find ver hi-res wallpapers at sizes such as 2560x2048 (click on "standard" and choose "5:4" aspect ratio)

Sorry, you can't add resolution to a photo. I searched google for a higher resolution version of your image, but nothing turned up. You might have to pick a new wallpaper 🙁

I could interpolate it for you, but that would most likely look worse.
