Retina Macbook: Internal Microphone Dead out of box

Received my retina MacBook few days ago. When i tried to make a Skype call today, i notice the internal mic is not work.

Called apple support and gone thru all the troubleshooting and still no luck to get it to work. But when i connect a external mic, it work normally.

Apple said my issue is the first and since it's only a few days old, they will replace me a new set. But i've waited almost a month for this new Macbook and i just check, the current waiting time is 3-5 weeks for a new set

Anyone else having the same issue with their internal mic ?

Also how do i make sure it's a brand new unit and not a refurbish set ?

Apple never gives you a refurbished item when you get them to replace it within the first 14 days after you got it.

Apple just called me and told me the new macbook will arrive end of june and they can't expedite it
