Retina Macbook Pro F9 Key Bright

Ok, just when you thought it heard it all. I have new 15" MBPr. I cannot live without backlit keyboard however the F9 key is like having a flashlight shined in my eyes. I have adjusted brightness, etc with no luck. Anyone else want to check it out on their laptops?

It's even brightness across the board for me -- nothing obtrusive to the eyes.

Clear tape.

Put a couple of layers of clear tape over the key to diffuse the extra glow - make sure to cut perfect round edged squares though 😉 Good luck.
