Frys is selling it for $1549.
nice find, I just got one from amazon for 1615, but not tax and free shipping, wondering if I should return it.
I wonder how do they sell a device by the price lower than manufacturer's?
i may be way off, but i've got a sneaking suspicion that this will be the new 'low' price.
I can't imagine sales are stellar at a $650+ street price for these. Apple has some wiggle room i'm pretty sure.
Anyway, my state has a Fry tax so this is moot.
Frankly, these don't make a lot of sense. The regular PRO 13 has some pro features like upgradablility.
These new models are no different than the Airs, and are a tough sell.
stick a retina on the Air and these will go bye bye. Just A matter of time.
Sticking an rMBP-13 in the same sentence as the phrase "best deal" sans a big NOT, is oxymoronic.
Wake me up when you can get a 13" with 256 GB storage for $1499 with a 16 GB RAM option . . .
Wake me up when you can get 13" with 768 SSD 16GB.
i5 256gb 13 inch on sale as well for 1799
Costs Apple $1000 to make. Go figure?
Thanks, bhattsan and ccsicecoke, that's $100 cheaper than my education discount! 10% off a new Apple product is pretty good.
