Is it possible now to easily buy rMBP without pre-ordering in one of these cities: Hong Kong, Singapore, Bangkok?
I'm going to travel to one of the cities in order to buy Retina Macbook Pro and would want to avoid "our-of-stock", "pre-order only" situations.
I would appreciate if someone share info about availability in the stores.

looks like the same wait time for me: http://store.apple.com/hk/browse/home/shop_mac/family/macbook_pro/select

Probably in another two weeks the supply will catch up. Are you looking for just the standard rMBP? There are many stores that have them now including Best Buy it's the custom one that would require them to ship it out.

Even so the travel time from China to here is barely a day I believe.

Most stores in Bangkok store the base line. If you wanna know where(which stores), feel free to ask, i can go there anytime.

Eh it's probably not gonna be available in store for quite some time in hong kong. Reason being that a lot of mainland Chinese come to Hong Kong to buy their apple products since it is significantly cheaper.

That being said, you should check out epicentre in Singapore. They usually have it in stock.

Thanks, this is a good news. I'm looking for 2.6 GHz one, is it available in most of the stores?

I would prefer the custom one with 16G RAM but the standard rMBP will be okay as it's easier to find.
Sadly there is no Best Buy stores in my country.

In Singapore, the rMBP can be picked up from an Apple retailer. Most retail stores have the computer in stock.

The 16GB RAM will just be a simple upgrade, so I'm sure that will be no problem.

Exactly. Often CTO is not possible. However according to local forums, Nubox in Singapore accepts CTO.

Apple in HK has all 3 models of the rmbp. I just picked up my maxed out rmbp at IFC.
