Retrieving erased numbers

Does anyone know if it is possible to retrieve a number from your contact list if it was erased? Kind-of a weird question, I know, but I accidently erased a number and really need to get it back. Any help would be great, thanks.

I know of no way to retrieve anything that was deleted from the iPhone. Not just numbers.
