Watch this and tell me this isn't the greatest thing you've ever seen in your entire life. And by greatest thing, I mean better than the first time you fell in love, your first date, your first kiss, the first time your dad rented you a prostitute for your sweet 16 birthday party. The. Greatest. Thing. Ever.

Yeah, anyone below the age of 28 probably won't understand what's so awesome about the above clip. But you know what? I don't care. This ain't for you. All you yard sprogs can go drown in a lake or whatever it is kids do these days. Those of us with prostates the size of a grapefruit and dwindling pensions have something to wax nostalgic about. Go light somewhere and leave us be.

...and then buy the game, because it looks pretty damn fun.

    for a commercial its horrible...

is it a real game? looks like just something fake made to be funny, but your talking like its a real game? I love new retro style games... if there really is something, but if a commercial leaves you with the "I have no clue what they are advertising" feeling... then it fails as a commercial.

I'm also well beyond your 'age requirement'

I think that is an actual game but yeah, the marketing leaves more than a little to be desired.

Bah. You people have no taste.

...or maybe you have too much. I'm not sure. I could argue for either/or here.

Retro City Rampage is, at it's core, an homage to practically every single 8-bit NES game from the late 80's-early 90's jammed into an overhead perspective original GTA style of gameplay.

It's Nintendo kid bait. Pure and utter nostalgia fuel distilled down to it's absolute finest. I've been keep an eye on this for roughly a year now, and since it's soon to be released, I figured now would be a good time to tell people about it.

I was a PC gamer back then. I stayed a PC gamer and ignored the consoles all these years. Today I consider myself a Mac gamer but I did get myself a PS2 and a bunch of games I'd been wanting to play since they came out. I'm a wee bit behind the console times. If I like this console stuff I may even get a newer one, one of these days, maybe the next gen.

Well, that is good there is a cool new game for the Nintendo generation to wax nostalgic over, nothing wrong with that. Maybe it is my age. Maybe I just don't get that commercial. I never thought I could reach this point but maybe my turn has come.

Great video, a bit too wordy and not good as an advert (I'm guessing this is just a promo vid and not something we're going to see plastered all over the place - it's just not catchy enough).

Got high hopes for the game though. Planning to pick it up for my Vita and PS3.
