I bought my MBP on ebay, they bought it from an apple store in another state.

If i had an issue within 14 days of the purchase date, will Apple still replace? Or will they say I must have a receipt...

They may replace it, but it must be within 14 days of the original purchase - unless the person you bought it from is an Authorized Reseller.

Apple will not replace a DOA w/o a receipt. There is no reason for the original owner to not include the receipt with the computer.

I would think most if not all of your 14 days would be eaten up with the whole ebay transaction and mailing process anyway. How much of the 14 days do you expect to have remaining once you receive it anyway? Maybe you could ask the seller to go to the store and have them re-print another receipt copy if they did in fact buy it at the store as they say. Good luck.
