Hello,

I'm not sure if this is the correct section but I couldn't find anywhere else to ask this so my question is, is it possible for Apple to refund an order to another card or something like that? If it is, has anyone here ever had it done? I went to 2 Apple Stores today to try to return my MacBook Pro but the first was out of gift cards so they couldn't return for a gift card and the 2nd couldn't give me a gift card because the amount is over $2,000 and they couldn't override the system to give me a refund for my customized system or something like that. Then I got home and called my bank(Wells Fargo) to ask if there was any way to receive the refund and they say that there's no way to receive it because it is closed and neither the card nor checking account can be reopened. After that, I called Apple's customer service and the guy was absolutely no help. He told me the only way to refund was for the money to go back to the original card. I need to return this because after a few days, I realized that I made a huge mistake by choosing the glossy over anti-glare and also wanted a 17". I even asked about exchanging my current MBP for a 17" by paying the difference but they also say that's not possible unless you return it and buy it again. So am I stuck with this MB now? Is there anything else I can do? My last day for return is tomorrow. I definitely expected better customer service from Apple but it's been nothing but a pain in the ass these past few days.

Thanks.

Wait a minute. So, you're saying that the debit card you used to purchase the MBP is now closed, along with its associated checking account? That seems like a rather odd thing to do after making a major purchase...

Nonetheless, we're really the wrong people to be asking about Apple's in-store operations, being an enthusiast forum and all... But one thought: If their gift card limit is $2,000, it would seem odd that they wouldn't be able to split store credit across two gift cards. Perhaps they could do that. It wouldn't hurt to ask.
