This is a total hypothetical question, and just wondering how it works.

Using a refurb iMac as the Example.

If you get a refurb iMac and it has screen issues, can you return it and have Apple pay the shipping back because it's defective?

I know if you opt to return a refurb you have to pay the shipping back. I was just wondering if you have the option to return a bad one on their dime for a refund instead of getting a replacement.

Apple refurbs work just like a new computer. If it's defective, set up a return with Apple and they will pay to ship it back.

Thanks for the reply. I know the sense of iMac screen troubles is magnified in a forum like this, but just thinking ahead in the rare event that I get a defective one.

I returned 4 refurbs over the course of 6 weeks, no issues with postage what so ever.

Also interested, when you return a non-defective refurb, do you need to take it to a shipper and pay the shipping yourself, or does Apple deduct some money from your refund and give you a shipping label?
