Return of the chime by itself after security update / MBP 2019

Hello,

So yesterday I made a security update for 10.15.7 on a MBP 2019, and for the first time for a year I own this machine I heard the famous chime !

It looks like sudo nvram StartupMute=%00 has been triggered by itself, so strange

Does someone know why ?

It was re-introduced in macOS 11.0, so possibly Apple also added it back to 10.15 with the latest security update.

The latest security update applied the same firmware versions as in Big Sur 11.1, which then brought the startup chime to Mojave and Catalina systems accordingly.
